I’m a mom, veteran, artist, folklorist, musician, and writer of folklore-inspired adult romantasy and YA portal fantasy (and the occasional academic article). After graduating from West Point and serving in the Army for ten years as a Military Police officer, I earned a PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Virginia. My doctoral dissertation explored narratives of historical warrior women among the Scythians, Slavs, and other Eurasian steppe nomads, who in turn have inspired my fiction writing. I have contributed several articles to academic publications in addition to my current and upcoming novels. When I’m not writing, I can be found racing triathlons, chasing after my son, or providing lead guitar and vocals for the underground metal band Olga's Burning Sparrows.

Teresa “Tess” Marie Elizabeth Waclawik Poppert (otherwise known as Pirate Queen, Wood Elf, Dictator of Taste, and the Coffee Addict) was born and raised in Massachusetts. She grew up fighting dragons with wooden swords in the ruins of “Attica” in her backyard. She fell in love with words from an early age, and when frustrated with the ending of one of her favorite books, she decided to write her own. She is happily married to her muse, her motivation, and the love of her life—William Reilly Poppert. She is a military spouse currently stationed in Italy with her husband and son, Liam. She enjoys songwriting, playing three instruments equally poorly, dancing, wildflowers, nature, traveling, camping, slowly killing all of her window-sill herb gardens, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Tabitha R. Adams is the owner of Down The Rabbit Hole Educational Publishing Co LLC. She is an author, artist and the creator of a wide array of lovely homeschool workbooks, children's books, coloring books and more. She loves books, creativity, research and encouraging moms and their children to have confidence in their homeschool. When she isn't creating fun curriculum, she's homeschooling her children. Tabitha was blessed to travel the country with her Marine Corps husband of 20 years. They currently live in Southern California with their teen boys, daughter, cat and guinea pigs.

J.M. Zamudio is a U.S. Navy veteran and historical romance author with a bachelor’s degree in English from American Military University. She writes slow-burn Regency romances filled with angst, action, pining, and passion. Her stories explore trauma, redemption, complex family relationships, self-forgiveness, and the healing power of love. When she isn’t writing, J.M. Zamudio enjoys baking bread, bantering with her husband, and walking her two Australian Shepherds—upon their most ardent request.
