Hi, my name is Sydnee, and I'm a fantasy author going by the pen name S. H. Blodgett. My first book was written in 2020. Since then, I've enjoyed every moment of my writing career. When I'm not lost in my writing world, you can find me hanging out with my amazing husband and our super lively 5-year-old German Shepherd. They are my world! My husband currently serves in the Army, making me a military spouse of seven years. What a wild time it has been! We've moved on average once yearly since we married in 2019. I read far too many books, love diving into video games, and enjoy a good hike. Especially in some stunning places! I've recently moved to Washington state, and let me tell you, it's gorgeous out here. So, that's me living life, enjoying the journey, and hoping my stories find a little corner in your world too!

Courtney Hickling writes stories where questions are dangerous, secrets don't stay buried, and trusting the wrong person might be the last mistake you make. Blending paranormal mystery, suspense, and a small, tiny, baby bit of romance with a sharp edge, her books live in that delicious space between obsession and fear. She aims for chemistry that sparks just as fast as chaos, and happily-ever-after is never guaranteed (but always fought for). She's drawn to the unsettling, unexplained phenomena, morally complicated characters, and relationships that toe the line between devotion and destruction. Naturally, this means her search history is questionable at best. When she's not writing, Courtney can be found spiraling down research rabbit holes about the best way to conquer Universal or how to get her husband to agree to another cruise. She could also be lost in a book where creaking noises are "nothing", while falling in love with fictional characters who absolutely should not be trusted. Her stories are for readers who want tension you can feel in your chest, mysteries that burn slowly, and suspense with twists that leave you staring at the wall at 2 AM. Proceed with caution. Or don't. That's more fun.
